Community Learning and Skills Development (Independent Living and Leisure Skills)
A range of courses are being offered which promote independance, whilst also offering opportunities for learners to participate in leisure based learning.
The courses are targeted at adults:with learning disabilities and learning difficulties, experiencing mental ill health, with physical disabilities and sensory impairments and vulnerable older people. The reason for having courses specifically for these groups of leaners is to ensure that people from these groups are able to access learning opportunities. These courses are in addition to the full range of courses available elsewhere in the brochure and laerners shouldn't feel inhibited from applying for any other course advertised by community learning and skills development.
The courses are both accredited (through NOCN National Open College Network) and non accredited. The accredited courses must be a minimum of 30 hours;they can be extended to meet the needs of the group.
If you feel there is not a couse to meet your needs please contact us and let us know what you would like to see.
