Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) The Award is designed to contribute towards the skills, knowledge and understanding for the Lifelong Learning Sector (LLUK) introductory standards. The qualification provides a firm practical foundation for those new to teaching and training or those wishing to teach or train. It is designed as a qualification which will equip a wide range of teachers/trainers/tutors and facilitators (e.g., support staff and technicians) to deliver learning. This Award has been designed to fully meet new statutory requirements for those teaching in the Learning and Skills Sector. From September 2007, the PTLLS Award will be a mandatory minimum qualification for all those teaching in the Learning and Skills Sector. Upon successful completion of this Award students will be conferred with a Threshold status to teach |

Children, Young People and Policy is a transdisciplinary degree underpinned by children’s rights and developing integrated and responsive services for children, young people and families. From the first year students are are introduced to the whole production pipeline from initial concept, design documentation, pitching, prototyping, developing, play-testing through to completed working games |

BA (Hons) Dance in the Community This course is at the forefront of community dance development, at the heart of the regeneration of the Ipswich Waterfront, with exciting new facilities that support its cultural, social, artistic and academic development. There are numerous opportunities for a career in dance in the community. These include teaching in schools, delivering dance within a health setting or prison and working with youth groups, elderly dancers and participants with specific physical or learning needs. There are also opportunities in arts administration and event management |

BA (Hons) Design is a unique degree taught in a friendly and supportive environment which embraces a range of disciplines in the first year with the opportunity to specialise in year two. This broad based approach enables students to produce some highly original and innovative work. Students on the course have a strong record of winning national competitions and gaining meaningful employment upon graduation. Past students have progressed to employment in graphic/textile design studios, advertising agencies, publishers, teaching, arts administration, fashion and interior accessories, textiles, furniture and ceramic design. Others have set up their own studios and worked on a freelance or self employed basis. Students have also progressed to postgraduate level at a number of institutions including the Royal College of Art. The well lit studios have fantastic views of the sea and create an inspiring atmosphere in which to learn. |
