Workwise has been helping individuals with mental health and physical disabilities to access the open job market, volunteering or further eduction and training since 1986.
Worklink is a specialist employment team within Workwise that can offer many programmes to suit individual needs. WESP (Worklink Employment Support Programme) can be delivered at one of our Bury St Edmunds centres or in the community, depending on the programme selected.
Workwise provides work-based development and training in a supportive but realistic work environment to enable trainees to regain the direction of their lives through employment and community participation.
How to join us: Anyone suffering from a mental health issues or physical disability can access Workwise programmes by being referred by their Care Coordinator. The service can be paid for using Personal Budgets and through Direct Payments or individuals that wish to self fund, can call 01284 755261 for information. We offer a visit first and you have an opportunity to talk to an advisor about which programme would be most suitable. You can also have a taster day before you decide to start and apply for funding.

A course which is motivational and will help the learner to build positive and achivable goals to move towards their target. |

ITQs at levels 1 & 2 (Information Communication Technology) IT training and support is provided to all levels of trainees from the complete beginner to the more experienced and all levels in between. Trainees may gain experience working on exercises and real work at a level they can cope with, building their skills steadily and at their own speed. As they go they may gain ITQ qualifications at level 1 or 2 as Awards or Certificates. As well as a useful asset for the CV, learning can be to support other working skils such as manufacturing, CNC, CAM, CAD or administrative jobs or using media programmes, etc. |

Workwise is a multi-activity workshop with additional craft areas and training facilities. Participants will learn the craft of silk painting, whilst working as a member of the design team subject to numbers and availability. |

Woodworking skills with CNC technology Referrals to Workwise who are interested in working with wood can try a taster and if they feel suited to this work, work along side staff and other trainees in a busy woodworking department. Once a week throughout the year the instructor runs one of a variety of skill based units aimed as introductory course in CNC,hand tools, wood machining, wood finishing and other woodworking skills to help to establish a safe and effective working. |
