Suffolk Adult Learner Awards 2012

Nominations for the Suffolk Adult Learner Awards 2012 were officially opened on 10th January 2012. The Suffolk Adult Learner Awards, organised by Leap and the Suffolk Partnership of Informal Adult Learning (SPIAL) are being held in order to celebrate the hard work and outstanding achievements by adult learners this past year.
There are a total of 8 awards for which people can be nominated, including:
- 65+ Learner of the Year,
- Digital Technology Learner of the Year
- Inspirational Learner of the Year
- Tutor of the Year,
- Learning at Work award
- Learning Project of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year.
- Outstanding family Learners of the Year
A further Two awards will be presented for:
- Lifetime Services to Education and Training in Suffolk
- Outstanding Learner of the Year.
The awards ceremony will be held on:
Thursday 17th May at University Campus Suffolk
Once again, BBC Radio Suffolk Breakfast presenter and University Campus Suffolk (UCS) Honorary Graduate, Mark Murphy will be the compere for the evening.
The examples of how adult learning can transform people’s lives is a credit to all the tutors, volunteers, providers and learners and we are looking forward to recognising more achievements in this year’s celebration.
