Provided by University Campus Suffolk Criminology is concerned with the nature, patterns and explanations of criminal behaviour. Students examine the changing patterns of criminal behaviour, study a range of explanations, and understand the repercussions for the individual and society. The course draws upon sociology and psychology for a social and individual understanding of criminal behaviour. Students develop a questioning and critical approach to the understanding of criminal behaviour, as well as skills in analysing theories and evidence and applying research methods to develop knowledge. |

BSc (Hons) Psychology and Sociology Provided by University Campus Suffolk Psychology is the science of mind and behaviour and considers both individuals and groups. A range of normal and abnormal human behaviours is explored. Sociology involves scientific study of human social life, groups and societies. Both subjects allow students to question what is regarded as natural, inevitable, good or true and identify the importance of social forces for understanding our individual lives and their social contexts.
