- Offered as the ideal progression course for anyone having completed the 6 hour basic computing course, this 4 week course will give students a chance to improve their computing knowledge and gain some new skills. On completion of this course students could progress to one of the more specialised workshops or the Flexible IT course offering a ITQ Level 1 qualification.
Course Content This course is aimed at those students with basic computer knowledge who want to improve their existing skills. Students will do further word processing sessions, learn the basics of setting up and using spreadsheets, how to use the internet and internet based e-mailing. This is a relaxed and informal course aimed to build up skills and confidence. Students may wish to consider a qualification course after this one

- This course is designed as a 'follow-on' course for anyone who has recently completed the 6 hour 'absolute beginners' course (or similar). It builds on existing knowledge and as such is NOT suitable for the absolute beginner.
