Summary: The European Computer Driving License (ECDL) is the internationally recognized qualification, offered by the British Computer Society, which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills.It is a full level 2 qualification. Many employers look for this qualification as a prerequisite for prospective employees and it can often be required for entry onto university and higher education courses.

Target: Anyone wishing to improve or to prove their existing skills.
Entry requirements: This programme is not suitable for the complete IT beginner.
Outcome: The European Computer Driving License
Qualifications: Successful completion of this programme will result in the following qualification:

Certificate for IT users (ECDL Extra)(ITQ)(QCF)- NOS 2009 Level 2 (BCS)
Content: The ECDL programme consists of courses for each of the following applications:

Word
Excel
Presentations

The final course is called "Improving Productivity Using IT"
At the end of each course candidates will be given an online practice test (which can be taken numerous times), and when confident will sit the online test.

Candidates will therefore take four online tests during the course of the programme which together form the ECDL qualification.

Once all four tests have been passed the candidate will be issued with their certificate from the British Computer Society.

Enrolment: Candidates will be booked an appointment to attend our Ipswich centre and speak with one of our tutors.
