ILM Level 5 Award - Content

The mandatory unit, Understanding the Management Role, examines organisational structure and function, the roles and responsibilities of middle managers and the effect of communication and interpersonal skills on managerial performance. The final element of the unit explores the evaluation of personal development opportunities

Units covered are:

4.01 Understanding the management role - 22 hours
5.15 Managing projects in the organization - 17 hours
5.16 Managing a healthy and safe environment - 11 hours

Qualification Overview
By completing The Award students will be in a position to move quickly to the more advanced programmes of the Certificate and Diploma; as the credits in this qualification are automatically transferred.

Notional Credit Value - Minimum 10 credits
Guided Learning - Minimum 45 hours - However to provide a solid foundation of underpinning knowledge the programme contains 50 online study hours

Tutorial support - Minimum 2 hours *1 - Mandatory Unit - 4 credits
Other units - Minimum combined value of 6 credits
