- City and Guilds Level 2
Diploma in Hairdressing - Content
- You will cover all the practical skills and essential knowledge for the following units:
· Shampoo and condition hair and scalp
· Fulfill salon reception duties
· Style, dress and finish hair using basic techniques
· Give clients a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
· Perming and neutralizing
· Basic cutting techniques
· Basic colouring techniques
· Develop and maintain effectiveness in the workplace
· Advise and consult with clients
How will I be assessed?
SuffolkNewCollege offers a flexible approach to assessment whilst maintaining rigorous standards. You will be assessed by continuous assessment for the practical subjects. Most evidence will be provided by:
· Observation of performance
· Oral questioning of the knowledge and understanding
· A portfolio or file of supplementary or supporting materials e.g. written questions, projects or assignmentments, witness logs etc. - Cost
