Content: This course is a 6 hour training course consisting of a theory session and a practical session and covers the following subjects:

The Need to Train and Statutory Requirements

Types of Abrasive Wheels- including fixed & portable

Methods of Marking, Type, Speed etc

British Standard Marking System

Hazards and Precautions to be taken

Storage, Handling and Transporting

Inspection of Abrasive Wheels

Functions of Abrasive Wheel Machine Components

Mounting of Abrasive Wheels

Mounting and Dressing

Tuition Fees for the academic year 2008-2009 will be £140 (this will include a registration fee, normally £25, awarding body registration and examination fees).

This is a full cost course with no entitlement to Fee Remission.
