Summary: Within the course there are specific tasks to be recorded, ususally in text and uploaded to the e-portfolio which will be explained at induction Feedback from these tasks will be given by the assessor, who will help candidates to develop ideas and knowledge. The assessor will make pre-planned visits to the workplace to observe tasks being carried out and to plan work. The assessor will encourage the learner, helping them to identify the best ways to evidence their competence.There are no exams in this course and completion takes place when all tasks have been undertaken and units of the award fully evidenced to the satisfaction of the Assessor and internal and awarding body quality control.

Target: Those who use IT in their work and wish to develop their skills. If they already have CLAiT or other IT qualifications these may be acceptable as Prior Achievement and evidence of ability thereby reducing the duration of the course. Please check with us.
Entry requirements: Candidates must be using IT applications within a business or organisation, either employed or voluntary.Candidates must have a reasonable command of spoken and written English as much of the learning is online and feedback to specific tasks will be given through the e-portfolio.Candidates must be able to operate a computer to access the internet and to product typed text. There is no academic entry level for this qualification or prior computer qualification required although where candidates can prove IT qualifications, these may be used as prior learning resulting in less study for the candidate.

Cost: There is full funding for learners who do not already have a full Level 2 qualification. Please check with us whether you fit the criteria for full funding.It may be possible for part-funding to be available.
