Summary: This course programme requires candidates to relate the tools and techniques in the course directly to their job role. Candidates will quickly begin to develop the depth of awareness of management styles and strategies. Through discussions with our experienced management tutor they will explore how these styles can be applied and used in the workplace to the benefit of the company. Initially, to gain maximum benefit for the course content, our tutor/assessor will assist the candidate to identify the units that relate most to the candidate's current job role. Our tutor/assessor will supplement the online learning courses with discussion and mentoring to develop management skills which are evidenced by observation, discussion and testimonies.Much of the course content can be achieved by developing the IT skills required for the job role. Candidates who have already achieved IT qualifications may be able to use these to demonstrate competence for units of the NVQ award.Whilst most of this course is distance learning, we may from time to time invite candidates to a group workshop either face to face or online.

Target: Employees who are already in a management position and want to develop their skills. This could apply to managers who are new in their position or those with experience wanting a qualification.
Entry requirements: Candidates need to be working in a supervisory or first line management role either in business or voluntary. This role must include managing people as well as projects. Candidates must have a reasonable command of spoken and written English as much of the learning is online and feedback to specific tasks will be given through the e-portfolio.Candidates must be able to operate a computer to access the internet and to product typed text.
Outcome: There are mandatory management units in this NVQ and a range of optional units dependent upon the job role.
Qualifications: Institute of Leadership and Management Level 3 NVQ
Content
Cost: Subject to certain criteria for public funding, some people are eligible for full funding, for others course costs can be as low as £700 +VAT per person. ITeC will quickly determine eligibility for funding. All funding is handled directly by ITeC.
Enrolment: Enrolment will usually be held at Ipswich ITeC but could be on the employers premises where there are sufficient numbers.
