- Topics covered will include:- adult resuscitation, control of bleeding, treatment for shock, treatment of unconscious patient, dressing and immobilisation of injured parts, contents of first aid box and their use, transport of sick and injured patients, recognition of illness, treatment of injuries, treatment of burns and scalds, simple record keeping, poisons and substances capable of causing problems, personal hygiene in dealing with wounds, communications and delegation in an emergency.
