The IOSH Working Safely Course has been developed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health to address the general aspects of health and safety at work for a wide range of personnel.

About the Course

Target
This course is for staff from any sector with no supervisory or managerial responsibility.
Entry requirements
No previous health and safety knowledge is required.
Outcome
Delegates will have a good understanding of the key elements of working safely and how they can ensure the safety and health of themselves as well as others.
Qualifications
Successful completion leads to the award of the nationally recognised IOSH certificate or passport card,
Content
The course provides a grounding in the essentials of health and safety - everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must 'work safely' and this course delivers this.

It is divided into five modules:

1. Inroducing Working Safely

2. Defining Hazard and Risk

3. Identifying Common Hazards

4. Improving Safety Performance

5. Protecting our Enviroment

The delegates are assessed at the end of the course by a multiple choice written assessment and a project completed at their workplace.
