About the Course
- Target
- CIMA qualifications are open to everyone.
- Entry requirements
- CIMA qualifications are open to everyone and the level at which you enter will depend upon your existing qualifications. Some qualifications may enable exemptions to be awarded.
- Outcome
- On successful completion of the Foundation level the CIMA Certificate of Business Accounting will be awarded. Successful completion of the Operations level results in the award of the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting. When the Management level is successfully completed the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting will be awarded. Students who sit the Strategic level must pass all three examinations before attempting the Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting. Once this has been successfully undertaken students may apply to be elected as members of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Students can choose to cease studies at any time. This would normally be at the end of a level so that they have a minimum of a part-qualification. The CIMA qualification is extremely well thought of both in the UK and internationally. - Qualifications

- Content
- As with all professional courses, the emphasis is not just on the acquisition of knowledge although this is important, particularly at the foundation level. When students reach the strategic level, issues are considered more from a strategic perspective, so that on successful completion of the programme students have the relevant skills, knowledge and awareness to deal with all financial matters in the business world.
