- This qualification is designed to ensure that all employees are aware of their ownsafety and the safety of customers, contractors and the public. It will give employers the knowledge to provide safe and healthy workplace conditions and employees the correct training in the basics of health and safety.

- There is a multi-choice questionnaire at the end of the day for which successful participants will receive a QCA approved qualification. The pass mark is 20 out of 30

- Participants will cover the following subjects:
* Health/Safety/Welfare and relevant legislation
* The workplace, workplace equipment, hazardous substances, noise & vibration
* Risk assessment
* Manual Handling, transport and vehicles
* Ergonomics and workstation design
