Target
Anyone preparing, cooking or handling food/drink in a food/drink manufacturing plant.
Entry requirements
No previous experience or study is required.
Outcome
Participants will be able to: Understand the terminology used in food safety Be aware of UK and European food safety legislation to ensure compliance in a food manufacturing operation Understand the concept of contamination and the risks it imposes. Define the role temperature plays in the control of food safety Understand the need for high standards of personal hygeine of food handlers Identify appropriate equipment/storage conditins of food Appreciate the importance of cleaning

The course will concentrate on safety needs of a food and drink manufacturing plant e.g convenience and fresh food manufacturing, canning and bottling, temperature and atmosphere controlled processing and packaging. For futher details of this course please contact the provider.
