About the Course
- Target
- The course is aimed at students aged 19 or over, who have few or no formal academic qualifications, but will approach their studies with enthusiasm, determination and discipline.
- Entry requirements
- All applicants will be invited to interview to enable them to demonstrate their commitment to Access and a capability to achieve the aims of the course.
- Outcome
- The Access Certificate validated by CAVA fulfils the basic entry requirements for Higher Education enabling students to apply for a wide range of courses, although individual institutions may have additional entry requirements.

- All students study History, Literature, Social Science and the Visual Arts. There are shorter courses in Mathematics and IT and the course has four modules:- * Key concepts and methods in the humanities and social sciences * Early industrial society * New views of the world * Britain in the 21st century
