- The aim of the course is to enable a learner to present data using graphs and charts. To set parameters, format and print while controlling source data.
About the Course
- Target
- Those who have completed a level 1 course such as New Clait or ECDL
- Entry requirements
- Although not essential, learners will find it beneficial to have completed a level 1 course such as New Clait or ECDL
- Outcome
- This course prepares the learner for the Presentation Graphics module of the OCR Clait Plus certificate which is assessed by assignment at the ITeC. Progression could be to the full Clait Plus Certificate which would require a further 3 modules of which one would be the Core.
- Content
- Select single, comparative and subset of large, data sets.
- Pie charts, bar/column charts. Line-column and xy scatter graphs
- Titles, data labels, legends, trend line and text box.
- Scripting effects, numeric formatting, style and weight of lines
- Background fill, bar fill.
- Join scatter points, apply and remove markers
- Print in landscape and portrait
- Select single, comparative and subset of large, data sets.

- Starts
- 30 hours tutor support is available and learners start and complete the course in their own time. This may be done by way of a 1 week block or by weekly sessions or by a mix of learning at the ITeC, in the workplace or at home.
