Summary: The aim of the course is to provide in-depth coverage of MS Access and prepare a learner for the MOS test.

Target: Anyone with a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, Access and the Internet.
Entry requirements: Learners should have a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, Access and the Internet.
Outcome: This course prepares the learner for the MOS online test which is undertaken at the ITeC. Progression could be through additional MOS subjects which could ultimately lead to a MOS Masters qualification. Alternatively, a learner may wish to achieve a full Clait Plus Certificate which would require a core module plus 2 additional subjects
Content: Identify the concepts related to databases and the features of Access
Create and maintain tables and table data
Locate and manipulate data using filters and simple queries
Create and modify relational databases
Use Access to maintain tables and table data
Manage Access data
Create and modify forms
Create and modify report formats

Starts: Learners start and complete the course in their own time. Tutor supported ITeC workbooks and/or learndirect online materials are available depending on the chosen method of learning.

Timetable: ECDL and MOS online testing takes place at 4.45pm Wednesdays and between 1 - 3pm Fridays
