- Outcome
- Once the iTQ Aprenticeship has been completed it is often a logical move to progress to the Advanced Apprenticeship. It can also be the springboard into other apprenticeships such as Management or Customer Service and can often lead to higher education including university.

- NVQ Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grades A-C)
Key Skills (depending on prior achievement)) - Content
- Core Elements:
a) To achieve the apprenticeship, a total of 130 points are required and each unit within the NVQ framework attracts a particular number of points. For instance the mandatory unit of ‘Make Selective Use of IT’ will attract 25 points, with
other units typically attracting 15-20 points.
TYPICAL OPTIONAL UNITS- Word Processing - 20 points
- Spreadsheets - 20 points
- E Mail - 15 points
- IT Presentations - 20 points
b) Enhancements
Typical enhancements would be:- Operate a computer - 20 points
- IT Security for users - 15 points
c) Key Skills
These are essential and everyday skills including Communication, Numeracy (known as Application of Number), Information Technology, Working with Others, Improving Learning Performance, Problem Solving etc. The iTQ Apprenticeship requires Communication Level 1 and Application of Number Level 1.
d) ERR Induction Workbook
This ensures an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of both the employee and employer. - Word Processing - 20 points
