Summary: Workwise is a multi-activity workshop with additional craft areas and training facilities. Participants will learn the craft of silk painting, whilst working as a member of the design team subject to numbers and availability.

Entry requirements: By referral from Care Coordinator
Outcome: Trainees can gain work experience and new skills in technology related to the textile, corportate embroidery and design industries.

Rather than a traditional classroom base for learning, Workwise offer its learners a realistic working environment. Workwise trainees do not join us for a course alone, but get with it the opportunity to “do” the job, communicate with others in a real working environment and within that to be given the tools to achieve a suitable targeted qualification while building up self-confidence and work stamina.

As expertise and experience grows, trainees will become more involved in various stages of production of products and communication with our customers. This gives the opportunity to gain experience while working towards your chosen qualification. Thus training builds up self-esteem, confidence and a belief in your own ability to contribute within today’s job market.
