About the Course

Target
This programme is for you if you already have all the basic skills to create a wide range of business documents and you now want to improve your knowledge of Word.
Entry requirements
A basic knowledge of using a PC and experience in the Windows environment is an essential pre-requisite for this programme. Some experience in working with Word is also required. In particular, you should be able to:
• Start and exit from Word
• Navigate the Word toolbars, and task panes
• Create, save and print a document
• Perform basic editing operations, such as inserting, deleting, moving and copying text
• Perform basic formatting operations, such as applying attributes and a new font/font size to text, resetting margins, line spacing and text alignment in a document

On completion of this programme you will be able to:
• Set up documents in multiple-column format
• Automate the formatting of a document using styles and templates
• Set up documents in outline format
• Use features that are useful in reports and other multiple-page documents
• Use Word’s Internet features
