The aims of the ECDL are:

  • To increase level of competency in IT
  • To improve productivity at work
  • To help employers invest more efficiently in IT,
  • To ensure best practices are understood and implemented

    This course teaches the basics of using a computer and the concepts of IT, and is an ideal introduction to computing!

    The syllabus consists of the following 7 modules:
    1 - Basic Concepts of Information Technology
    2 - Using the Computer and Managing Files
    3 - Word processing
    4 - Spreadsheets
    5 - Databases
    6 - Graphics
    7 - Networking
