Suffolk TAP is an information & advice service that holds details of training courses throughout Suffolk. Suffolk TAP is supported by Suffolk Learning & Skills Council and managed by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. This service employs four staff and is free of charge both to clients and to those whose work is promoted through TAP

What we offer:·
- Information on full and part-time learning opportunities, short courses, supported open learning packages, training schemes for young people, training for adults, higher education and community education in Suffolk·
- Training information available on our website www.suffolktap.co.uk· Access to training information in neighbouring counties·
- Access to national training databases ·
- Internet links to other agencies·
- Off-line database provided on CD·
- 1-1 advice sessions, either face-to-face (in a private room where appropriate) or by telephone or email·

What you can expect from us:·
- Suffolk TAP does not carry out training. TAP provides information on training provision·
- Detailed and accurate data on around 5,000 courses in Suffolk, added according to nationally agreed standards·
- All training information is promoted impartially·
- Response to enquiries within two working days·
- Internet links to and course information on around 200 training providers in Suffolk·
- A rigorous, comprehensive and consistent system that ensures that course records are current and that all providers are contacted every six months or annually where more appropriate·
- Access to the Chamber of Commerce translation service·
- All TAP services are included in the Chamber ISO and IIP Accreditation· Confidentiality and Equal Opportunities policies available on request·
- All TAP staff are competent in the use of TAP equipment, have a wide experience in the provision of training information and advice for adults and are aware of other Information, Advice & Guidance services in Suffolk ·
- All staff have achieved NVQ qualifications in Advice and Guidance·
- Customer feedback facility to continuously improve the service
How you can help us to improve our service:·
- Your comments and feedback are taken into account when reviewing the level and type of service ·
- To ensure quality of service we regularly liaise with our training providers·
- Website users are able to e-mail their comments via a feedback form·
- Customers can comment on the courses that they have attended·
- If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with our service, we will do our best to resolve your concerns quickly. If you wish to make a formal complaint, please refer to the Chamber of Commerce Complaints Procedure which can be obtained from the Chamber reception. If the Chamber is unable to resolve a complaint it will be referred to the Learning & Skills Council.
